DRESS REHEARSAL: Show 2 dress rehearsal will be held Wednesday June 5th. Doors will open at 9:00 am, rehearsal will begin at 9:30 am. Unfortunately, we are unable to hold for late arrivals. Participation in dress rehearsal is mandatory.
Please be aware that the timeline for dress rehearsal is longer than the running time of the actual performance. We must also allow the time for the mandatory break for the stage crew. We will announce that day when we will be taking a break and when we expect to resume dress rehearsal, generally it is close to the 12-1 timeframe. The break will be 30 minutes. If you choose to leave the theater, please be mindful to return on time for your dance. If a dancer is missing, we will move forward with the dress rehearsal as we do in the actual recital.
This is a full dress rehearsal and your dancer should arrive with their stage makeup and hair done.
Please keep in mind that the dressing rooms will have a lot of dancers. We have made every effort to allow as much space as possible for all the dancers and ask that you use your assigned dressing room. If you have multiple children dancing in the recital, you may choose to have your children all in one dressing room. Please update the backstage staff with which dressing room you have chosen. This is the only exception allowed to dressing room assignments.
There will not be a dress rehearsal for the Wednesday night show.
RECITAL PERFORMANCE – DRESSING ROOMS: Parents, your presence is required in the dressing rooms to assist and monitor your children. If you are back there, you will still be able to see your child dance in the recital. We take the dancers a few dances before it is their turn to dance, which will allow enough time to get out into the audience. Parent’s must have a ticket to go into the audience. It is the parent’s responsibility to dress and monitor the behavior of their child at all times.
Make sure everything they have has their name written on it, especially on the inside of their dance shoes. Tap shoes are easily labeled with a silver marker on the sole of the shoe if the inside is black. Dancers may bring a labeled thermos or bottled water, clear liquids only due to costumes.
CALL TIME FOR RECITALS: Call time for recital Wednesday night, June 5, 2024 and Thursday, June 6, 2024 is 6:00 PM. Dancers receiving awards for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 or 35 years of dancing should report back stage no later than 6:45 pm. The recital will begin promptly at 7:00PM.
